Add Google reviews to Wix: Google stars and review cards in a browser mockup

You can add Google reviews to a Wix site without building a custom app. Connect your Google Business Profile in ReviewsJet, publish the reviews you want public, then place a widget with Embed HTML or a Custom Element. Most owners finish the first page in under ten minutes.

Key takeaways

  • Google does not give Wix a ready-made review widget. You connect the listing once, then embed a snippet.
  • Embed HTML works on many Wix sites. On Wix Premium with a connected domain, a Custom Element avoids iframe scrollbar and height quirks.
  • ReviewsJet widgets are unlimited on Free, Professional, and Advanced. Limits are published reviews, sources, and forms. See pricing.
  • Free includes 5 published reviews, 50 review requests, 1 source, and 1 form. Professional ($7.99/mo) raises that to 150 / 250 / 2 / 2. Advanced ($19.99/mo) goes to 1,000 / 5,000 / unlimited.
  • After you publish reviews in ReviewsJet, the Wix page updates without a redesign.

What you need before you start

You need a Google Business Profile with reviews you are happy to show, a ReviewsJet account, and edit access to the Wix site. A connected custom domain helps if you plan to use Wix’s Custom Element path.

If you want a broader “where reviews belong on a site” map first, read Add Reviews to Your Website.

Connect Google in ReviewsJet

ReviewsJet Collect screen for connecting review sources
  1. Sign in at app.reviewsjet.com.
  2. Open Collect and choose Google.
  3. Paste your Google Maps listing URL (or Place ID) and start the import.
  4. Open Reviews and publish only the reviews you want on the live site.

That published set is what the widget shows. You can keep lower ratings out of the public wall until you are ready to reply or leave them unpublished.

Pick a layout, then get the Wix code

Open Display, choose a layout (slider, masonry, grid, and others), and click Get the code. Select Wix and follow the panel for either Embed HTML or Custom Element.

Embed HTML (fast path)

In the Wix Editor, add an Embed HTML (or Embed Code) element where the reviews should sit. Paste the snippet from ReviewsJet, stretch the box tall enough for your layout, and publish the site.

This path is fine for many pages. Because Wix often loads third-party HTML inside an iframe, tall masonry walls can show scrollbars if the box is too short. Resize the embed until the wall fits, or switch to Custom Element when you need cleaner height behavior.

Custom Element (cleaner on published sites)

If you are on Wix Premium with a connected domain, use the Custom Element path from the same install guide. ReviewsJet walks you through the tag name and script URL. The widget renders outside the iframe sandbox on the published site, which usually removes the scrollbar fights.

Check the live URL after publish. Custom Elements often do not preview the same way inside the editor.

A layout that fits Wix pages

Slider review widget preview in ReviewsJet

A slider works well above the fold on a homepage. Masonry or grid suits a dedicated reviews section. Match the layout to the page job instead of forcing every review onto the first screen.

Widgets stay unlimited on every plan, so you can put a slider on Home and a wall on /reviews without burning a widget quota.

Verify the live page

  1. Publish the Wix site.
  2. Open the page in a private window.
  3. Confirm stars, names, and text match the reviews you published in ReviewsJet.
  4. If the box is blank, double-check that reviews are published and that you pasted the code for the correct widget.

New Google reviews you publish later appear through the same embed. You do not need to rebuild the Wix section each time.

Which plan to start on

Free is enough to prove the flow with a short strip. Professional fits most small sites that need more published reviews or a second source. Advanced is for higher volume and unlimited sources. Full numbers stay on pricing.

For WordPress instead of Wix, see How to Add Google Reviews to WordPress. For Webflow, see How to Add Google Reviews to Webflow.

Connect Google once, embed on the Wix page that needs trust, and keep publishing the reviews you want visitors to see. A free ReviewsJet account is enough to try the full path end to end.
